Writer-director Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7 is a powerpacked film. The intensity with which his characters speak and deliver high voltage dialogues give a Bollywoodish feel. And while this might seem unnatural in life, in a courtroom, it makes perfect sense. This is why The Trial of the Chicago 7 is so damn powerful. The film is based on a real-life political drama in the 60s, in which prominent political radicals were accused of conspiring to cause the riots that had broken out at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Sorkin gives us an electrifying dramatization, which speaks directly to the world we live in. The culture wars, polarization, and oppressive establishment are still very much in place. This is thrilling moviemaking. You can see it on Netflix toh Telegram aur Torrents se refrain kare because the movie is idealistic at least let’s start some small revolution to end piracy.
The story of 7 people on trial stemming from various charges surrounding the uprising at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois.
It follows the trial of the infamous Chicago Seven, a group of anti-Vietnam War protesters who were charged with the conspiracy to incite riots in Chicago after their peaceful protest turned violent following a clash with the police. The film stars Sacha Baron Cohen and unlike his fictional satirical characters this time he plays one of Chicago’s 7. Sacha is a revolutionary in film and real life too. In June 2020, Baron Cohen crashed the right-wing “March for Our Rights 3” protest in Olympia, Washington, a counter-protest to the March for Our Lives demonstration as a result of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Baron Cohen sang a song telling listeners to attack liberals, CNN, the World Health Organization, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates and “mask-wearers”. The crowd, which initially sang along, realized they were being pranked when counter-protestors recognized Baron Cohen and began laughing. Baron Cohen’s security stopped the organizers from taking him off stage and turning off the power, and Baron Cohen was forced to flee in a private ambulance from the now-violent crowd. In 2020 his Borat Subsequent Movie film was also a great watch. The film also stars Eddie Redmayne, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Daniel Flaherty, Noah Robbins, Carrol Lynch, Mark Rylance, Jeremy Strong, and Alex Sharp.
At one point in the movie, Abbie says “It’s revolution time, we may have to hurt somebody’s feelings”
” I have never been on trial for my thoughts”
It shows parts of Left Wing,Radicals, Revolutionaries,Early Political Parties, and harrasment by the courts and negligence of police.
This moie is relevant because it emphasizes on the right to protest, questions the establishment and this is happening even today.

Ramsey Clark lived in Greenwich Village in New York City, where he died recently on April 9, 2021, at age 93. Huge Respects!
Most magical moment was when at the end of the trial, despite Judge Hoffman’s instructions and objections, Hayden uses his closing remarks to name the 4,752 soldiers who were killed in the Vietnam War since the trial began. This act prompts many in the court to stand and cheer. It will certainly make you cry.
Oscars 2021 ka toh pata nahi but this one really wins hearts and minds while making a great attempt at what to respect.
